Romantic getaway with incredible views! We spent two nights at Blue Sky cottage as part of our honeymoon, and were absolutely blown away by this incredible place! We couldn’t have imagined a more romantic getaway. The cottage is secluded, well appointed and beautifully decorated, and the views from the Jacuzzi are magical. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and gave wonderful recommendations of places to eat in the area. We loved our stay here and really hope to be back!

We had a great time at Forest Valley Cottages. We stayed in Lavender Edge cottage, which had a huge deck with the most incredible views. We had outdoor cooking facilities and a large hot tub on the deck. It is completely private and very romantic. The master bedroom also has incredible views, along with the en suite and outdoor shower. Mark gave us some great recommendations of nearby places to visit/restaurants etc. The cottages are well located to visit various places around Knysna. I would thoroughly recommend and would love to stay again!

My husband and I stayed in the Birdsong cottage and we were blown away by the magnificent views, peace and tranquility from the cottages. The cottages are perfectly tucked away in the forest giving you the feeling of being secluded in nature yet are modern, very luxurious and fully equipped. There are multiple hiking trails and I’d highly recommend a morning hike – the views are worth the early rise. Mark is also such a gem of a host; friendly, accommodating and fun. I’d highly recommend Forest Valley cottages for those looking for a getaway to escape the rush, relax and rejuvenate!

My wife and I booked two nights stay in Earth Rose in mid January weekend. Lovely cottage and very private – its the little things that were the most surprising to us, the fire was packed and ready for lighting, bags of wood available next to braai (although we brought our own), bug repellent provided (yes, it’s in the forrest and yes, there are bugs) etc. The cottage itself was well appointed, his and hers showers and basins, the spa bath with a view over the valley was amazing. They have a generator which they run in the morning and at night if there is load shedding, but you couldn’t hear it from the cottage. They also had load shedding ready bulbs and a couple of load shedding chargeable lights. Our host was knowledgeable about the general Knysna and Sedgefield area and gave some good recommendations on things to do and places to eat out. The views and surroundings are spectacular… we did a short walk down the valley which was amazing. I honestly thought about never leaving 🙂

Incredible accommodation in the most beautiful setting. We stayed in Glory Dawn for 2 nights in October – wow! Beautiful, absolutely immaculate (literally the cleanest place we have ever stayed) and the views! Unbelievable! We will be dreaming of this place for a long time. Wish we could’ve stayed for longer than 2 nights. Can’t recommend more highly. If we’re ever lucky enough to return to South Africa, we will definitely be staying at Forest Valley. An absolute dream. My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Forest Valley Cottages for our honeymoon, it was a very romantic and relaxing environment. They also have a hike you can go on and there is a kissing spot where you can write your names on which i thought was so memorable. The accommodation is absolutely amazing we have no complaints. We stayed in the Earth Rose accommodation and it has a jacuzzi bath that looks out to the forest and that was the best part of this accommodation for us.

I cannot recommend Forest Valley Cottages enough to anyone looking for a weekend away to reconnect with their loved one. The views of the valley were incredible and so peaceful. My partner and I stayed in the Glory Dawn cottage and were extremely happy with how beautifully the cottage was done up. We had everything we needed and felt completely safe at all times in the current COVID crisis with our contact free check in and check out. I was completely stress-free after a year that has been rather awful for all. My only wish was that I stayed longer! Will absolutely be back. Thank you for the amazing getaway, Mark!

The Blue-Sky cottage at Forest Valley Cottages was amazing! The cottages are all very private, with no neighbours in sight 🙂 The views from the cottage are unparalleled and so spectacular! Hills and forests as far as the eye can see! The rooms are very neat and clean, with all amenities required in place.  The cottages are easily accessible from the main roads, but still offers peace and quite from all city life. Can definitely recommend for the perfect getaway stay!
